Master: You.
James: No, not me, you.
Master: Yes, I’m You.
James: Just answer the damn question. Who are you?
Master: I have told, You.
James: Are you deaf?
Master: No, You is blind.
James: I’m not blind, you blind.
Master: That’s what I’ve said.
James: You just said what?
Master: I did not say “what”, I said You.
James: That’s what I’m asking you.
Master: And You is answering.
James: Shut up!
James pointing at the other instructor in the room.
James: You!
Master: Yes?
James: Not you, him! What’s your name?
Guy: Mi (Pronouncing as “Me” )
James: Yes, you.
Mi: I am Mi.
Master: He is Mi, and I am You.
James: And I’m about to whoop your old ass man, because I’m sick of playing this game. You,(pointing at the Master) Me (pointing at himself) everybody ass around here!

Today someone walked past the front of my school smoking a cigarette and stubbed it out right outside the front door of my school! ‘It drove me ape!!!!’
What do you think about that?
To drive one ape means to get angry about something!
Example:
- If you drop your bread on the floor by mistake,why does it always land on the buttered side? Doesn’t it drive you ape?
- People that push in line drive me ape!
Role-play:
A: Why are they beeping their car horn so much!
B: Because they don’t like being stuck in traffic.
A: It doesn’t make them go any faster by doing that, It really drives me ape!
B: I know what you mean!
Homework:
List at least two things that drive you ape in the comment box below: (you need to be logged in to post)
Hi! Hope you’re having a great weekend! I just got news that my student has just taken a practice English test and was able to pass with flying colors! I was so happy for the news!
When we use the phrase: ‘pass with flying colors’ it means, to pass something very successfully!
Example:
A: How did you do on your driving test?
B: I’m not sure yet, I didn’t get the results.
A: I’m sure you will pass with flying colors!
B: I hope so.
Homework:
Think about how you can use these phrases in a conversation with a friend:
- I hope you pass with flying colors!
- I’m sure you’ll pass with flying colors!
- Did you pass with flying colors on your exam?

I hope you had a great Golden week holiday, I did! It was so nice to ‘dress down‘ for a change!
Do you like to dress down after work or at the weekend?

Homework:
Think about 2 situations where you like to ‘dress down’, it maybe at the weekend or after your busy job, or maybe you prefer to dress down when you go out with your friends to the pub.
Hi It’s a great sunny day here in Saitama today! I’ve just started my goldenweek holiday and plan to relax!
I’m working on a project by myself, I’m a bit of ‘a lone wolf‘
So today’s phrase to learn is: a lone wolf
A lone wolf is a person who likes to do things by the selves or on their own with no help from anyone else.
Example:
- A: What’s Tom doing right now?
- B: He’s working on his homework on his own.
- A: Why doesn’t he come and join us?
- B: He always does his homework by him self, he’s very much a lone wolf in that way!
Homework:
List atleast 5 things you like to do by your self and then the next time you do that thing think about this phrase: a lone wolf And then make a wolf sound
